M.E. LEWIS NAMED A 2024–2025 LITERACY LEADER SCHOOL!
Marvin E. Lewis, Sr. Elementary School is proud to announce that we have been officially recognized by the Georgia Department of Education as a 2024–2025 Literacy Leader School for our outstanding growth and achievement in reading. This honor highlights the tremendous progress our students—especially our 3rd grade Gateway readers—made on the Georgia Milestones this year.
This statewide recognition is awarded to schools that demonstrate exceptional student growth, proficiency, and a strong commitment to high-quality literacy instruction. State Superintendent Richard Woods praised Literacy Leader schools for giving students “the tools to succeed in school, future careers, and life.”
This achievement is a reflection of the hard work of our students, teachers, staff, and families who show up every day dedicated to learning and growth. We are proud of our Bullpups and grateful to our entire community for supporting literacy in every classroom.
