M.E. Lewis Elementary School

Dear Students and Families,
Our school is working with resources from OPENPhysEd.org to help you stay physically active and healthy. Please consider using these resources to keep you active, moving, and fit. I hope that the time spent together being active is fun and enjoyable for everyone. It is recommended that children are active at least 60 minutes a day. The benefits of activity go beyond our physical health. Still, they can help all of us feel better and have fun during this uncertain time.
Remember, activity time doesn’t have to happen all at once. You can add up your total activity throughout the day to equal 60 minutes. At the end of each day, students ask a family member to sign, check off, or put a sticker next to the day’s total activity.

Take-Home Physical Education Student Packets
This newsletter and information are intended for students who cannot participate in virtual learning online at M.E. Lewis Elementary School. I will begin to include a section in the Google Classroom that will have helpful links and information for students that require a take-home P.E. Packet.
Look for the P.E. Fun at Home section in your child's Google Classroom at the bottom of the Classwork tab. You can also find some other virtual activities that will encourage your child to get moving and active.
Enclosed you will find information from OPENPhysEd.org. Please locate your child's grade level.
If you have any questions, please contact me by email at pgraney@hancock.k12.ga.us. You can also connect with me through Class Dojo.
